What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing frequently updated Web content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from your favorite Web sites and news sources.

How Do I Sign Up for RSS feeds?

There are two main types of RSS readers -- standalone and plug-ins. Standalone applications are simply programs that process and display RSS feeds for you. The other type is a plug-in, that installs within an existing program such as Microsoft Outlook or Internet Explorer, allowing you you to view RSS feeds directly in that program.

You can also incorporate RSS content into weblogs, or "blogs".

You will need to search for an RSS Reader and choose a web service. A search in Google for "RSS reader" will return countless options for your use, many of which are free.
